Next up from our NEW designs is our Amy Blessing Dress.
Blessing Dress Details:
A 100% sheer lattice, polyester dress delicately overlays a soft 100% cotton slip. Flower-vine details float atop the bodice lattice and skirt edge. Perfectly scrunched lace wraps each sleeve in pure sweetness. The white satin-ribbon sash makes getting that perfect fit a breeze. (Ever wondered how to tie a dress sash into a perfect bow? Check out our Facebook page for a tutorial.)
A matching headband pulls this quaint little dress altogether. Soft elastic is attached to more flower-vine goodness, while an off-centered satin bow adds that “little something extra”.
Every mom wants their little one’s day to be memorable. Let us help with our many accessories and embroidery options. Listed below are some must-haves to create a notable and hassle-free day.

- Cotton Diaper Cover – dainty satin-ribbon bows and cotton ruffles adorn the legs. And what could be more adorable than a cross, shamrock, or baby’s name embroidered on the bum!
- Floral Initial Ruffle Bib – keep her dress pristine with a bib that looks as pretty as the dress. The floral embroidery detail compliment the dress and the flourish initial makes it custom just for her.
- Silver & Pearl Name Bracelet – divine fresh-water pearls and sterling silver beads encircle baby’s name, spelled in sterling silver letter blocks. Add a cross charm and/or birthstone crystal to sparkle on her tiny wrist. Finally, a half-inch silver chain enables the bracelet to adjust for a lasting fit.

Spring is Here!
Spring showers may bring April flowers, but here at One Small Child, Spring also brings fresh new designs. After a long winter of hunkering down and feverishly working, we are excited to present each one. First up is our Camilla Christening Gown:
What’s in a Name?
The name Camilla originates as a Latin baby name. It means noble; free-born; servant of the temple. We believe we captured the epitome of each meaning with this satin and lace baby gown.
The square neckline brings a sense of noble birthright, just as it did in the 17th century. From neckline to hem stretches a generous floral lace panel with a unique continuous flow. Dual intricate glossy-looping trims each side to confirm superior craftsmanship. Scalloped lace is the final framework as it cascades over the shoulders and circles around the back. This is a flawless introduction to scalloping lace that waterfalls down three-quarter sleeves.
This gown is made with matte satin. Our satin is a pure white and lustrous mid-weight fabric. This combination of color and density makes for a temperature comfy baby on any Spring day.
A hand-gather waist and 3 buttons make up the back. The gathering offsets the simplistic front design, while buttons make for dressing ease. And finally, the hem is festooned with a double laced edge, and more glossy looped lace.
As a bonus, we include a matching baby christening bonnet. An exaggerated ruffle softly brushes baby’s sweet face. A thick satin band accentuates a fully-lined puff style bonnet. The open back design is indicative of a vintage inspired headpiece. Thin triple strand satin ribbons tie under the chin for a secure fit.
What could be better than a gorgeous christening gown for your little one’s special day? How about matching accessories to complete the look. For those who adore lace, pair our Lucy Christening Slippers with this gown. Or maybe a little less frill is more to your liking, take a look at our Bow Christening Slipper in satin. A christening gown designed for a princess:
Our Chloe christening gown for girls features everything you want for your little princess’ once-in-a-lifetime dress: luxurious materials, classic styling, and attention to detail.
In a soft shade of ivory, so very close to off-white, the floral pattern of the netting lace on this lovely christening gown is richly embroidered with a scalloped edge lying a couple inches above the finished hem of the pure silk underskirt. Miniature pearls are scattered over the embroidered lace trim that adorns the bodice, sleeves, and bonnet of the gown. The main body of the baptism dress is constructed of pure silk dupioni, a lovely mid-weight fabric that holds it’s shape and glows with a delicate sheen. A beautifully ruffled slip of 100% cotton is included for comfort, coverage and added body.
Chloe’s sweet high-waisted bodice and gently puffed sleeves feature embroidered lace with a light scattering of tiny pearls. A pure silk ribbon bow cascades from the waist. The scalloped hem of the rich lace overskirt is set off by the simple silk hem peeking beneath. The overall length of the gown falls several inches past Baby’s feet for a dramatic effect, measuring approximately 28-29″ from shoulder to hem. The full skirt sweeps to a generous 60″. A traditional bonnet is included, with sweet gathers around Baby’s face, more of the pearl-encrusted lace trim, pure silk ribbon ties, and a keyhole back.
The little sister to our stunning Sophi gown, Chloe coordinates perfectly with the Sophi accessories; each features the silk, laces, and trims utilized on the gown: a show-stopping lace and ostrich headband, a gorgeous yet practical bib, dainty floral slippers, and a richly ruffled blanket. Any or all will add an air of luxury to her very special day.

Pretty Olivia’s mother, Donna wrote about her experience in purchasing our Ava christening gown (also pictured here is our Touch of Pink Headband):
“Thank you for creating such a beautiful gown for our daughter Olivia’s Christening. I looked at local specialty shops and found nothing as beautiful as what your company offers. I was pleasantly surprised as the dress arrived two days earlier than I expected. Her dress was absolutely beautiful and will be treasured for a lifetime. I am attaching a picture of Olivia on her special day. Thanks so much and I will undoubtedly be a repeat customer.”
Angelic Isabella’s grandmother, Wendy, shares the following:
“I just wanted to say I had purchased the Lucy Gown for my granddaughter for her Christening on June 15th, 2008. I have to say when that dress came in, and I took it out of the box, my mouth opened and my heart dropped, this was the most beautiful gown I have ever seen. I also bought the shoes and socks and the bracelet with her name and everything I received was more than I expected. So many people commented and asked where I purchased that gown. You can bet I told everyone it was online at One Small Child…
Again, I want to thank everyone including the people who packaged the gown and accessories, you did a wonderful job, and I won’t hesitate in telling everyone where to go on their blessed event!!!”
