The Royal Christening Gown has style… It offers all the simple charm of an old-world heirloom. The bodice features ornamental embroidery. flanked with lace. The three-tier ruffle sleeve is suitable for any season. A slight gather provides an appropriate skirt volume. Symmetrical sweeps reveal yet another layer of exquisite lace. Generous ruffles finish the sweeps and hem of the gown. Hand-gathered silk trim offers extra decoration. Silk-covered buttons neatly secure the back of the gown to part-way down. The Royal Christening Gown is a four-piece set… Along with the gown, you’ll receive a matching bonnet, cotton slip and preservation bag. The matching bonnet has two tiers of lavish lace and shimmery silk ribbon ties. The slip is made from combed cotton broadcloth material. It’s both comfortable and durable. A thick ruffle with generous gathering provides subtle volume to the bottom of the gown. This helps preserve the gown’s shape throughout the skirt. Our muslin preservation bag with padded hanger provide the proper environment for garment storage.

In celebration of One Small Child’s new ownership, we’re highlighting one of Katy’s personal designs-the Mitchell. Katy has designed a special outfit for each of her children’s blessings. She loves the opportunity to create something beautiful for each child and is happy to share these designs with you. The Mitchell was her most recent. She wanted something that had little man written all over it for her adorable baby boy. So, she decided to design an adorable 4-piece silk suit. It turned out perfect for her little guy!

All the details of this outfit are carefully looked at. The short-sleeve bodyshirt is the perfect foundation for the outfit. The soft cotton layers well underneath and provides the option to remove the coat for a less-formal look. The jacket features a masculine lapel and silk-covered buttons. Flat-front pants have a comfy elastic waist in the back. They have a modern style and are easy to get on and off. The miniature silk tie matches flawlessly and completes the look. Each is made from plush knit cotton. This ribbed material has a heavenly texture. It’s extremely soft and thick. Your little gentleman will stay warm and snug in this handsome outfit! Royal and Celebrity Christenings we Love!

We all have a love for anything to do with the Royal family, especially the adorable Prince George. Today we want to highlight Royal and Celebrity Christenings we love because we can’t get enough of babies in amazing gowns.

Prince George’s Christening gown was actually a handmade replica of the original Royal Christening gown that was used from 1841 until 2004 for all of the Royal family’s Christenings. The Queen finally had it retired and preserved 11 years ago due to age. What an amazing heirloom! (Source) I can only imagine the stunning gown in person with that kind of history.

After retiring the gown, the Queen commissioned a new gown to replica the original to be used for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The amazing lace details are swoon worthy!

Another one of our favorites is this baptism dress for Rachel Griffiths baby girl back in 2009 that was made in 1920 by her great-grandmother. We love the simple color underneath with the darling over sized headband. Again, we love heirloom pieces that become a family tradition.

And finally, from December 2013, Fergie and Josh Duhamel’s baby Axl’s baptism day! We love the little suit with the personal, modern touch of the high top sneakers. Sweet accents like this are fun and unexpected so they add surprise to the baby’s big day for everyone to see.
